Adler Volmar is a great American story for this upcoming 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China. He just won the Olympic trials for USA Judo in the 100 kg weight class and is one of the best prospects for a gold medal in Judo for Team USA. It would be the first gold medal in Judo in American Olympic history. Adler last competed in the 1996 Olympics for Haiti and was Haiti's flag-bearer at the ‘96 Olympics. He grew up and was raised in Haiti, but was born in the USA and has dual citizenship. He spent the next two Olympics in the US Navy as a combat medic and should not have even made this year’s team after a severe knee injury in February. Doctors only gave him a one percent chance of recovery in time to compete in the Olympic trials. With very little preparation time after surgery, he faced elimination against Brian Picklo when Picklo made a great throw, but Adler amazingly turned his opponent around in mid air so that when they both landed it was Picklo and not Adler on his back!

Here is a YouTube video of that win:

Adler is now going to Beijing as the top judo player in his weight division. He lives in Coral Springs, Florida with his wife and three children. I just spent an hour in person with Leslie Visser of CBS about my work with this amazing talent. He will be close to a household name before and during the Olympics, and if he brings home the gold he will be a major national celebrity. He has already talked about his sport psychology work with me publicly. I am also from Coral Springs, having attended Coral Springs High School 1975-1979.

You will be amazed by Adler who is a certified personal trainer, motivational speaker, private investigator, and military trained combat medic. He is fluent in French, Spanish, Creole and English. Since Adler made the Olympic team too late for USA Judo funding, he is trying to raise at least $25,000 to assist in his extensive training, equipment and travel expenses.

Adler has asked me to represent him in this quest for funding by contacting others for help. If you can help by sponsoring Adler, you will be supporting an extremely worthy and patriotic cause, be given extensive recognition and exposure on Adler Volmar's site and on JohnFMurray.com, and much more. You are helping America win a gold medal by helping Adler. He really needs the funding to be at his absolute sharpest with the best training, equipment, and support staff to assist him. He is seeking contributions from individuals or companies in the amounts of $1,000, $5,000, $10,000, or $15,000. This is a very time sensitive campaign, funds are needed before  July 29, 2008, but Adler will gladly accept funds after that as some of his staff will be traveling after he leaves for Beijing.

Please contact Dr. John F. Murray at 561-596-9898 or Adler Volmar at 401-954-2500 if you have any questions. Adler's website is at: www.adlervolmar.com.
