Alpha Delta Gamma Reunion 2009

Farshid Amir

It was great seeing you down in Miami. I am very happy for you and wish you and the family the best. Sorry I missed the big day. The greatest thing about the reunion was that what made us great friends and brothers is still there and no matter where we go or what we do it will always bind us together.

I pledged ADG in 1980 and graduated from Loyola 1984. I feel I really did most of my growing up at Loyola and at the ADG house. Looking back I count my blessings to have had such good luck to have been part of such a great brotherhood. To this day some of my best memories are from my time as a delt. I never forget during one of the little sister Christmas parties I was a little messed up from the champagne and decided to go for a walk. I remember going to the tennis courts at Tulane (by the Boot) to sit around to clear my head, next thing I know a Tulane security guard woke me up at 2 in the morning and I promptly vomited on his shoes. They took me back to Loyola and luckily couple of the ADGs were walking by and they released me to their care.

After Loyola I did a couple of years of graduate school at Tulane medical school, couple of years of research at LSU eye center and finally went to Memphis to attend Southern College of Optometry. After a year of residency at UAB in Birmingham I ended up in San Antonio. I was planning to work here a couple of months and move back to New Orleans, I still consider it home and go back for visit any chance I get. Anyway, one thing let to another and I have been living in San Antone for 15 years.

I got married and we have no children and may be that is good since we can barely take care of ourselves.
I would like to invite one and all to come to visit us here in Texas, we will do our best to make it fun for you and the familly.

Best regard,
Farsh
