Alpha Delta Gamma Reunion 2009

Ely Elefante
Just celebrated our 20th Wedding Anniversary with my bride, Lana. We have three
daughters: Ava (sophmore at the Univ. of Georgia), Caroline (high school senior)
and Ellen (eighth grade). I retired from the Army in 2000 as a Lieutenant
Colonel and have worked for several Georgia state agencies/colleges. I am
currently the Director of Career Services at West Central Technical College,
Adjunct Professor for the University of West Georgia, and teach Jujutsu, Judo
and Aikido for the Haralson County Recreation Department.
I pledged in Fall 1976. My only pledge brother was Marc Dedman. I graduated from Loyola in May 1980. I have a lot of practice following orders, but my first real training experience was as a Pledgemaster!
Dear Brothers, Thank you for the
11:30 p.m. rendition of "She was a virgin..." and the first few notes of "Ba
Doop, Ba Doop" before Charlie interceded on behalf of his daughters! I was
smiling all weekend and so glad you were able to get together. Dave and Mike,
thanks for the pictures. After Dave gave me the "starting lineup" to help my 50
year old eyeballs I recognize the old ADG gang! I am grateful that you and our
brothers in Scarlet Red and Gold were/are part of my life!
If any of you are in Georgia, please look me up. I hope to make it to the next
get-together. I live in Buchanan which is an hour west of Atlanta and welcome
the opportunity to hear and see my fellow Alpha Delts!
